Service Description

Reiki is an ancient alternative healing modality which allows the certified practitioner to transfer energy to their client through touch or hovering over the body. This process activates a natural healing process within the client’s body to restore physical AND emotional well-being. Reiki balances the chakras, provides relaxation and energetic healing. PLEASE NOTE: There are only Sunday and Monday options for in-person Reiki if you book on this site. Please copy and paste the link below if you would like to schedule a Friday or Saturday session: https://www.chicagobirthworks.com/care-schedule Reiki sessions last one hour and strengthen feelings of calm, relaxation and clarity. During a Reiki session, the client is fully clothed on a massage table while I lightly touch or hover my hands just above the client's body in different positions along the chakra centers. Once the session is complete, we discuss the messages and feelings both I and the client receive and discuss a plan for longer term alignment. DISCLAIMER: Reiki is a simple, gentle, hands-on energy technique that is used for stress reduction and relaxation. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment, prescribe substances, nor do they interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. Reiki does not take the place of medical care. It is recommended that Reiki clients see a licensed physician or licensed health care professional for any physical or psychological ailments they may have. Reiki can complement any medical or psychological care received. Long term imbalances in the body sometimes require multiple sessions in order to facilitate the level of relaxation needed by the body to heal itself. Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. Energy or "ki" in a person should be strong and free flowing. When this happens, a person’s body and mind are healthy. When energy becomes weak or blocked it can lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance
